Faculty of Podiatric Surgery

The role of the Directorate of Podiatric Surgery is to promote, develop and govern podiatric surgery training and practice. To this end it will also work closely with the College of Podiatry Professional Conduct Committee, Employment Relations Committee, Professional  Indemnity Committee and the Directorates of Podiatric Medicine and Management.

The Directorate is led by an elected board of 8 representatives taken from the membership of the Directorate of Podiatric Surgery. There are also representatives from the various podiatric surgery training grades. Elections to the Committee are held annually and once elected, members of the Committee can hold their seat for a period of 3 years before standing down for at least a year.  The Committee is chaired by an elected Dean of the Directorate. 

The Committee meets three times per year and is fully supported by the secretariat of the College of Podiatry including the Director of Education and the Postgraduate Education Officer. The Committee meetings are open to all members of the Directorate on application to the secretariat, though sections of the meeting will be confidential.
