NHS Pay Survey Results

NHS Pay Survey Results

We recently asked members in the NHS to help us prepare our evidence for the ‘NHS Pay Review Body’ by completing a survey on their views on NHS pay.

We received over 1600 responses – one of our largest ever responses – which shows the importance of pay to our members.

We are now in the process of drafting our evidence jointly with the other unions which we will publish shortly together with a full break down of the responses.

Martin Furlong, Interim Head of Employment Relations said:

‘The response was incredible. One of the most striking results is the much higher than expected number of our NHS members who had not even received the 1% award – even with the lack of implementation in Northern Ireland – showing that our members are amongst the most affected by the current Squeeze on NHS pay.

We have used the responses in the evidence that the trade unions will present to the Pay Review body and will continue to keep members informed with developments when the Review Body responds’

More to follow.
