NHS England members vote to accept three-year pay offer

NHS Unions, including ours, have been in talks with the Department of Health for some months, and the result was a pay offer that not only included above-inflation pay rises for staff but also refreshed and improved the pay systems which is part of Agenda for Change.

Like most other health unions the SCP decided to conduct a formal ballot to gauge members' views on the offer. Council recommended to members that they accept the offer however it was for the members to decide.

The deal itself is not straightforward so we made sure that there were plenty of opportunities for members to get the full details either in workplace meetings or online.

Members fully endorsed this approach in the ballot with over 91% of those voting accepting it. We look forward to further offers being made in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
