Thank you to all voting members who attended or voted at our AGM meetings day on Saturday 30th June at the Royal College of Nursing’s London office at 20 Cavendish Square W1.

More than 85% of those voting members who voted at the AGM (either in person or by proxy), voted to support Council’s proposal that the name of our organisation is changed to the College of Podiatry.

The legal process to change the name has begun and papers regarding the change of name have been filed at Companies House, the TUC and the Charity Commission. This process will take a number of weeks and we will update members as to timings when these are confirmed.

We will publish details of the results and outcomes of the various AGMs later this week and meanwhile there is information on the background to the vote and the AGM on our website at www.scpod.org/AGM and www.scpod.org/oneorg. This information will be updated shortly.

We will be bringing in the name change and strapline across our materials and digital channels gradually over the coming months to keep costs to a minimum and as the legalities are completed.

Please look out for the updated Q&A on the website later this week, which we hope will answer member’s questions about this important development. If after reading the updated information and Q&A you have any questions not covered by the document you can email Chief Executive Steve Jamieson at feedback@scpod.org.
